Alcoholic Liver Disease
If you are showing some signs of liver damage or are experiencing liver problems symptoms, you may have alcoholic liver disease. What does this mean, though? How can you get alcoholic liver disease? Here are some of the factors that contribute to this liver related disease.
How Much You Drink
Obviously, how much you actually drink will have a huge effect on whether you damage your liver or not. The more you drink, the higher chance you have of causing problems. If you drink copious amounts of alcohol on a regular basis, there is a very good chance that you are doing damage to your liver. In general, this is a pretty bad thing to do – you should find another vice.
Diet
The next think that you should consider is your diet. If you are not eating a diet high in essential vitamins and nutrients, you are much more likely to suffer from alcoholic liver disease. Most people think they get this liver disease because they drink too much, and while that is a big part of it, a large portion is because their body isn’t getting what it needs to clean itself out. If you regularly complete liver cleanse treatments that contain herbs and vitamins, you won’t really have that many issues to deal with.
Gender
Unfortunately, gender plays a big role in alcoholic liver disease. Women have a much higher chance of getting alcohol related liver issues than men. It’s just the way we have evolved. There is nothing you can do about this, but you should at least be aware of it.
Genetics
Lastly, genetics also play a role. Some people are just better at metabolizing alcohol than others. Nobody really knows why this is, but it seems that genetics play a big role in this. Like gender, you can’t really do anything about this, so you shouldn’t worry about it. But, if you aren’t very good at metabolizing alcohol and show signs of liver damage, it may be a good idea to stop drinking so much.
